Not everybody knows that the flight attendants principal task is not to serve foods and drinks. The flight attendants, present in minimum number of 1 every 50 seats, are responsible for the passengers’ safety and they have the primary burden to organize, manage and assist the passengers in case of possible situations of emergency (belly landing, depressurizzation, crash landing, etc...). To this purpose the flight attendants inform the passengers about the procedures to be held through a short demonstrative briefing before the flight departure. To the passenger some plasticized cardboards are furthermore made available (usually in the pocket of the armchair) where the emergency procedures are described through the use of comprehensible ideograms easily understanding independently from the spoken language.

The cardboards are called “SAFETY CARD” and they are the object of the desire of some impassioned crazy persons that collect, trade and straight sell them to very high price (especially those rarer). Needless to say these cardboards directly originate from the planes cabins through the work of tireless depredation from friends and relatives of the collectors that are threatened of physical violence to every flight if not did it.
